San Thom Mission Home Chenkal

At the invitation of His Grace K.Maria Das Archbishop of Visakhapatnam we started a convent at Konthamuru near Rajahmundry on 12th June 1999. This house is named as San Joe Mercy Home. This was meant for disabled girl children but now it became a Balika Bhavan.  The pioneers were Rev.Sr.Treasa pulickal, Mother Carmel and Mother Jenet and the parish priest was REV.Fr.Y.Maria Ratnam.Sisters are taking care of the girls. During the Jubilee year 2000 Arch Bishop Mariadas started a school named Jubilee memorial school. He entrusted the administration to us. In the beginning Rev.Sr.Teena Kuriakose,Sr.Julit and Sr.Sheena(KPLY)were teaching in the school. Now Sr.Teena Kuriakose and Sr.Pavana are doing their level best to raise the standard and status of the school. Sisters work in collaboration with the parish priest Rev.Fr.Lourdaia and working for the better ment of the people in the Godavari parish.
